Before we do anything, we have homework to do. On booking your project, you’ll get a link to book your kick-off call and fill in your questionnaire and distribute any client surveys.
After the research stage, I will create your website strategy and craft your homepage — this will act as our north star, guiding the whole website copywriting project.
Once we’re happy with the homepage (north star), you will start to receive the rest of your web copy to review and feedback. Depending on the size of your project, this may be split into 2-3 phases (to keep things moving smoothly).
Receiving your web copy is full of so much emotion! While you’ll love most of it, there might be parts that need some fine-tuning or tweaks. That’s totally normal — and I’m here to guide you through the feedback process, ensuring the final copy aligns with your vision at every turn.

Yes, of course! A clear, genuine brand voice is non-negotiable — as it makes you not only recognisable, but pretty unique too.
It all begins with me getting to know you, listening to you and learning all about what connects you with your audience. I then essentially go all ‘chameleon’, adopting and replicating your voice while refining it to make it unmistakably YOU. It’s amazing how many people don’t actually sound like themselves in their copy (i.e., they hide it away). My job is to bring it *strategically* to the surface, so you call in your kind of people.
Whenever I write website copy, I will always consider and apply SEO (unless it’s not your goal… say you’ve hired me to write a very specific sales page linked with an email list, for instance)
A *huge* part of website copywriting is search engine optimisation. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. Website copywriting must consider the keywords you use, how you use them, how you apply them in your design (header tags), and other important attributes such as meta descriptions and title tags (alwayssss included with the EVERYTHING package).
SEO is also simply about great copy that makes a great website. Clear, compelling, and creative copy will perform better on Google because it’s an all-around better user experience – and Google knows this from how long your users stick around.
So, yes, SEO is always included…unless we specify otherwise in your proposal.
If you have a concrete deadline in mind (like your designer needing copy by a certain date), get in as soon as possible. Most average-sized projects take about 6 weeks from start (kick-off call) to completion (wrapping your copy up for your website designer). You’ll also want to leave a couple of weeks for tweaking.
The typical payment plan is 40% to secure your slot, 30% on delivery of your strategy + homepage, and then 30% on delivery of the final draft.

You say tomato, I say… tomato? Your answer: It doesn’t matter at all. I’ve worked with a many US founders and businesses, and it’s super easy for me to put my US spelling hat on (and spellchecker is just a tap of a button). Oh, and between me and you, you guys are rockin’ the copywriting world – and I love how bold, brave, bright and brilliant your approach to messaging, brand voice + copy is. I am *alllllll* for that.
But how does it work with payment?
I’m UK-based and charge in GBP, but regularly work with clients worldwide. You’ll receive an invoice in GBP, with conversion rates available through your method of payment. You can wire transfer (my IBAN + BIC details are on the invoice), use Wise or simply use my payment processor to pay by card.

From there, I take the lead — keeping the project moving and making sure you’re clear, supported, and informed at every point.
Yes! And it very much follows the same strategic approach I apply for full website copywriting projects. For sales pages, this is usually done over 1-3 Plug-In Days, depending on the extent of your offer, and what you need. Absolutely. If you need landing pages, blogs, or email copy alongside your website, I can include this in your proposal — or add it in as we go.
A touchy question for a copywriter…I joke! I’m actually not against AI copywriting tools, and I think they have a purpose in many places. But not in my custom web copy. This web copy is written by a human, with real human lived experience for other humans.
However, I may occasionally ask ChatGPT to help me with editing tasks – such as suggesting an alternative word or refining a heading. This doesn’t mean I’ll go with it, but it’s like having someone to bat an idea off. Sometimes, AI helps me move forward and sparks an idea – but it doesn’t give me the exact answer.
I see AI as an assistant helping me out, but it never ever ever writes (or should I say ‘generates’) your copy. No way.
Yes, it’s me and only me who does 90 per cent of your project, I create the strategy, guide the message and write your copy.
However, I do sometimes lean on a select few very trusted individuals (a lovely, very small team of copywriting freelancers) to copyedit, refine, tighten, and proofread your copy. This is the 10%. I do this because I cannot tell you how valuable a second pair of eyes is! I want my clients to have the very best — and this is how we achieve it.
Of course. That’s my favourite way to do things. From the very start, I love to make contact – and I’m on hand throughout the design process if any copywriting or SEO queries pop up. I’ll also review the site when it’s live to ensure everything is *just so* with your copy and SEO.
Oh no! That would not be fun. If this ever happened, we’d work through it together until you were happy. I’ve actually never had an unhappy client because I’ll always find a solution.
